Pay vendors by ACH or wire

Pay electronically instead of printing checks. Enhanced creates a file you upload to your bank.

Pay electronically instead of printing checks. It's almost identical to a check run — but instead of printing, Enhanced creates a file you upload to your bank.

Where: Accounts Payable → Select and Pay Invoices

Before you start

You need the one-time ACH setup done first:

- Set up your bank for ACH transfers
- Tell Enhanced where to save ACH files
- Set up a vendor for ACH payments for each vendor you'll pay this way

(All three are mapped in the ACH setup workflow.)

Steps

1. Open Select and Pay Invoices and click the ACH radio button to see vendors set up for ACH.

2. Select invoices the same way as a check run — click Set for all, or pick individual vendors. *(See Pay vendors by check, Step A, for all the selection options.)*
3. Click the Export button. Enhanced creates the electronic ACH/NACHA file in the folder you chose, and confirms when it's done.

4. When the export is complete, a box with a Post button appears. Click Post. This posts to the A/P account(s) and appropriation (expense) account(s), just like a check run.

> The only real difference from checks: no check prints. Everything else — selecting, posting, the accounting — works the same way.

→ Next step: Upload your ACH file to the bank.
