Tell Enhanced about the checking account ACH payments will be drawn from. This is a one-time, organization-wide setup.

Where: System Utilities → System Initialization / Setup → Add/Edit People, Places, Things

Before you start

This is step 1 of the Set up ACH vendor payments workflow. Do it before setting up individual ACH vendors.

Steps

1. Open System Utilities → System Initialization / Setup → Add/Edit People, Places, Things.
2. Click New on the ribbon toolbar.

3. Enter the Bank name. Add address and contact info if desired.
4. Enter the bank's Routing Number in the field next to EIN/TIN/ABA, and type Tab or Enter.

5. You will then see a popup called 'EIN/TIN Validation Error'. This is expected. In the box at the bottom of the popup, enter the letter 'B' to confirm it's an ABA (routing) number, then it 'OK'.

How to enter a Bank's Routing number to enable ACH payment

5. Adding the ABA Routing Number will automatically check the Direct Deposit Bank box. Also check the Vendor Payment Bank box to ensure this bank is available for use in ACH payments.

6. Click Close / Save on the ribbon toolbar.

→ Next step: Tell Enhanced where to save ACH files.
