Accounts Payable · Entering & managing invoices · v12
Delete (void) an invoice
Remove an invoice from the system using Auto Void, which keeps a clean audit trail by reversing it.
Remove an invoice from the system using Auto Void, which keeps a clean audit trail by reversing it rather than erasing it.
Where: Accounts Payable → Void Checks/Invoices → Auto Void Invoices
> ⚠️ Voided a check first? The invoice attached to a voided check is still live and must also be voided here to fully remove it. See Void a check.
Steps
1. On the ribbon toolbar, open Void Checks/Invoices → Auto Void Invoices.

2. Click the drop-down arrow and select the vendor whose invoice you want to delete. A list of that vendor's invoices appears.

3. Click the Void button next to the invoice — click it only once. Then click OK.
4. When the confirmation box asks if you're sure, click OK.
What happens next
Enhanced issues a matching "negative" invoice (this is what preserves the audit trail). It reverses the entry during your next A/P payment session.
> ⚠️ Important: You must process both the original and the negative invoice for payment. The system produces a zero check (nothing actually prints) and removes both invoices from the system.
→ Next step: Run your next payment session so the original and negative invoice clear together.
